 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
 The Data Services group is responsible for maintaining Moody's Economy.com's historical databases which contain economic time series.  As part of Moody’s Analytics global Data Services team, you will be responsible for :
  • Strategically acquiring historical time series data by gaining expertise in assigned industrial and geographic domains.  This includes researching the availability of economic and demographic time series in these domains and establishing and maintaining data provider relationships to allow Moody’s Analytics to utilize the collected information for internal research and redistribution.
  • Administering databases containing economic time series data on a daily basis to ensure data quality, including timeliness, accuracy and completeness utilizing VB.NET, C#, SQL, VBA and other statistical packages.
  • Ensuring client satisfaction, including speed and quality of responses to our clients via web conferences, occasional on-site visits, phone calls, emails and interactive chats.
  • Training clients on Moody’s Economy.com’s proprietary data access software and on the use of, strengths/weaknesses of, and intricacies of available economic data.
  • Developing and coding processes needed for data updates and documentation utilizing VB.NET, C#, SQL, VBA and other statistical packages.
  • Reviewing and improving existing processes and procedures independently to ensure efficiency.

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably from economics, finance, statistics, or related discipline.
  • An excellent academic record
  • Fluency in English is essential. Fluency in another European language would be advantageous

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in computer science, or technical discipline, or equivalent experience. Masters degree desirable.
  • 3+ years of solid, diverse work experience in IT including experience with systems architecture methodologies with a proven track record of IT ‘thought leadership’ and being a ‘change agent’.
  • IT strategy and architecture leadership experience.
