Vehicle Sales Fall After Clunkers Incentive Ends

Vehicle sales fell as expected in September after the expiration of the highly effective cash for clunkers incentive. Sales dropped to a seasonally adjusted annualized rate of 9.2 million units, which is consistent with the pace of sales earlier this year. Of the six largest automakers, only Chrysler and Honda reported their worst monthly sales rates of the year in September....
