Wal-Mart November Sales

Wal-Mart begins the holiday shopping season on a sour note. Wal-Mart’s preliminary sales growth estimate for fiscal November calls for a 0.1% decline, which comes on the heals of a mediocre 0.5% increase the month prior. The retail giant enters the holiday season with very weak momentum, but it was anticipated, as Wal-Mart had projected sales to be flat in November. This is only a preliminary estimate, however, if the 0.1% decline comes to fruition, it would mark the first monthly same-stores decline since April 1996....
