As of July 2012, Moody's Analytics Data Buffet offers an expanded selection of subnational data for Slovakia, from our national source, Štatistický úrad Slovensej republiky (SOSR, the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic). It is part of two products, the Moody's Analytics Global Database and Europe Database. Please contact your sales representative for details.
Initial sectoral coverage includes population, migration, labor force, employment by industry, GDP, national accounts employee compensation, and housing stock. Coverage varies, but certain data are available as often as quarterly with geographical granularity to the district level. Tables 1 and 2 summarize the indicator coverage and geo subnational structure, respectively. Slovakia is part of the European Union (2004) and euro zone (2009); before accession, its national currency was the koruna (ISO 4217: SKK). It uses the Eurostat classifications for geography, system of accounts, and economic activities (NUTS, ESA95, and NACE localized as SK NACE Rev. 2). The official language is Slovak, the time zone is UTC+1, and the Data Buffet national geo code is .ISVK.
