Forecast Delay: U.S. - March 2009 Regional - Employment Benchmark Revisions
Tuesday, 10 Mar 2009 13:43 ET
By Marisa DiNatale
Summary
March 10, 2009 -- So as to incorporate the BLS annual benchmark revisions (March 11), the state and metro area forecasts for March will be delayed (to approximately March 16 and 25, respectively).
Detail

Each year in March the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) issues annual benchmark revisions to its employment data for states and metropolitan areas.  The regular practice for Moody's Economy.com is to delay our March forecasts (FET.?) to incorporate this data.

Our target is to make state forecasts available to clients via DataBuffet.com on March 16, and to publish metro forecasts on March 25.
