As of July 2012, Moody's Analytics Data Buffet offers new subnational Romania data, from our national source, Institutul National de Statistica (INS, the National Institute of Statistics). The dataset is part of two products, the Moody's Analytics Global Database and Europe Database. Please contact your sales representative for details.

Economic sectors include demographics, industrial production, labor and wages, national accounts, and real estate. Coverage varies; certain data are available as often as monthly with geographic granularity to the county level. Romania is part of the European Union (2007) but not the euro zone, and its national currency is the new leu (ISO 4217: RON). As an EU member it uses Eurostat's NUTS geography classification and NACE Rev. 2 economic activities classification. Its official language is Romanian, its time zone is UTC+2, and its Data Buffet national geo code is .IROU.
