The 22 seasonally-adjusted (SA) single-family aggregate price indices, like the unadjusted (NSA) counterparts previously available, begin as early as January 1987.  Some of the metro areas are more recent, and the 20-metro composite begins in January 2000.

The condominium price indices are available for only five of the 20 metros.  The time series begin at January 1995.  (The single-family indices exclude condos and co-ops; the condo indices exclude co-ops.)

All of the price indices are indexed to January 2000 = 100, and are three-month moving averages (MA).  (That is, the index for a month is based on the repeat-sales pool of that month plus the two previous.)  The seasonally-adjusted indices will be re-estimated each month by the source.

Note 1: The areas are standard MSAs, except for "New York Commuter," which has been expanded by the source with additional counties in adjacent states.

Note 2: The mnemonics for these new series are now consistent with those for our quarterly Fiserv Case-Shiller® historical and forecast products, and the older series have been renamed.  The long-established names still exist as aliases, so all baskets will continue to function uninterrupted.
