United States: FHFA Purchase-Only House Price Index

The monthly U.S. Purchase-Only House Price Index increased 0.5% in January, pointing to house price growth that is still strong, though slowing. The index is up by 7.4% year over year, continuing to show the effects of expanding mortgage lending and lagging residential construction. Regionally, growth was also robust with only one census division having declining prices in January, while all have year-over-year increases.
