Motivation: The national source, Singapore Department of Statistics (DOS), reports employment with industry detail expressed as a level only with the annual labor force survey; at a quarterly frequency, industry detail is expressed as a change, and only the total is expressed as a level.
Response: For analytic convenience and international consistency, Moody's Analytics estimates the quarterly level of employment by industry for each of the 10 branches by which SSIC-structured labor data is typically reported.

SSIC 2015 is based on UN ISIC Rev. 4 and has 22 sections (A to V), but labor data are typically reported with 10 branches; some align with the presentations of other countries, but others are nationally-defined aggregates. Agriculture represents a very small fraction of Singapore's economy, and is included in the "other" category.
The estimates reside in the historical catalog (Singapore » Labor and Wages » Moody's Analytics Estimated) and include, for example:
- RETOTQ.ISGP = Total, (Ths. #, SA)
- REMFQ.ISGP = Manufacturing
- REFIQ.ISGP = Financial services
