On 13 July 2018, the source wrote (citation):
Indices of Gross wages and Salaries (1st Quarter 2018) [...] From July 2018 on (reference quarter=first quarter 2018), the indices will be published with reference year 2015 = 100.
In response, we have:
- Archived the predecessors (2010=100, 2000Q1 to 2017Q4) by renaming with an "_10" specifier, by marking metadata as discontinued, and by segregating in the catalog.
- Created one-for-one replacements (2015=100, from 2000Q1).
- Added remaining reported series.
- Refurbished the catalog.
Properties of the active dataset:
- Legal reference: EC 1165/98
- Activity classification:
- Version: NACE-BEL 2008, the localization of NACE Rev. 2
- Scope: Sections B to N
- MIG aggregates
- Measurement: Fixed-base value index relative to 2015 (Index 2015=100)
- Adjustment: Not seasonally adjusted (NSA)
- Native frequency: Quarterly
- Start date: 2000Q1
- Subject to revisions: Yes
- Lag: Three months
The series reside in the historical catalog (Belgium » Income » Wages and salaries by industry) and include, for example:
- LWIIDXCNUQ.IBEL = [DISCONTINUED] Total wages and salaries - Manufacturing without construction, (Index 2010=100, NSA)
- LWIWGIDXCWUQ.IBEL = Industry excl. construction [B to E36], (Index 2015=100, NSA)
- LWIWGSERVUQ.IBEL = Services [H to N]
- LWIWGICUQ.IBEL = Information and communication [J]
Because catalog locations are subject to change, the upper-right search box on DataBuffet.com provides a "find in catalog" mode that accepts a mnemonic.
Please be aware that
The source's English-language methodology claims the scope is NACE-BEL sections C to M, but the reported series are clearly labeled in the data file as B to N; both "mining and quarrying" [B] (individually) and "administrative and support services" [N] (as part of the [H to N] aggregate) are reported.
