Greece has enacted changes to its administrative divisions (strictly speaking, NUTS areas apply only to Eurostat, specifically because Member States can make local changes between the triennial NUTS editions) and its local reporting is now, in effect, a hybrid between the NUTS 2010 and 2013 lists. For the regional accounts, the applicable geo changes are:
- Redefined these NUTS 1 areas:
- IGRC_VOEL = [DISCONTINUED] Voreia Ellada (Northern Greece)
- IGRC_NORT = Voreia Ellada
- IGRC_KEEL = [DISCONTINUED] Kentriki Ellada (Central Greece)
- IGRC_CENT = Kentriki Ellada
- Fissioned the NUTS 3 area "Attiki" into seven new geos:
- IGRC_ATT = [DISCONTINUED] Attiki
- IGRC_NAT = North Athens
- IGRC_WET = West Athens
- IGRC_CAT = Central Athens
- IGRC_SAT = South Athens
- IGRC_EAT = East Attiki
- IGRC_WAT = West Attiki
- IGRC_PIR = Piraeus, Islands
In response, we have archived the predecessors (2000 to 2012) by marking metadata as "discontinued". The replacements have an unchanged start date. Figures are millions of euros (Mil. EUR) or unitary counts of persons (#).

- Geo coverage: 69 areas = nation, all NUTS 1, 2 and 3 areas except "extra-regions" (four, 13, 51)
