Discontinued data: U.K. subnational - Dwelling stock by tenure - Partial
Tuesday, 05 Jun 2018 09:24 ET
By Victoria Donu
Summary
May 2018 -- For dwelling stock by tenure (ownership) in the U.K., the source has terminated all six concepts for the U.K. geo (six annual series 1971 to 2014, discontinued).
Detail

In response, we have:

  1. Marked the series as discontinued in their metadata.

The series reside in the historical catalog (United Kingdom » Real Estate » Residential » Dwelling stock » by Tenure) and are:

  • HSQSTKDUA.IGBR    = Dwelling stock - All types, (Ths. #)
  • HSQSTKDOWOUA.IGBR = Owner-occupied
  • HSQSTKDPRRUA.IGBR = Privately rented with job/business
  • HSQSTKDRSLUA.IGBR = Rented from registered social landlords
  • HSQSTKDLOCUA.IGBR = Rented from local authorities
  • HSQSTKDPBOUA.IGBR = Other public sector dwellings

Because catalog locations are subject to change, the upper-right search box on DataBuffet.com provides a "find in catalog" mode that accepts a mnemonic.

Please be aware that

For the five detailed concepts, the geos for Scotland and Wales remain active. For the "all types" concept, the geos for England and 364 districts (pattern IGBR_nnaa) remain active.

These series are annual, but the measurement point of the housing census has changed repeatedly (see Mnemonic 411; full details are footnoted in the source's data files). An "observed" attribute of END makes the most sense, but even so, conversion to a higher frequency (i.e., disaggregation) may produce strange results.
