Although the source publishes an English-language news release for this indicator, it did not include a specific notice about this change (unlike other NSIs).
In response, we have:
- Archived the predecessors (2010=100, January 2000 to December 2017) by renaming with an "_10" specifier, marking as "discontinued" in their metadata, and segregating in the catalog.
- Created one-for-one replacements (2015=100), which have an unchanged start date. There are three analytic variants: not seasonally adjusted (NSA), working day adjusted (WDA), or working day adjusted seasonally and seasonally adjusted (WDASA); not all branch-variant combinations exist. The classification is NACE Rev. 2, with scope of sections B to E, and MIG aggregates.
- Assigned standardized mnemonics.
The active series reside in the historical catalog (Sweden » Industry » Industrial production index » 2015=100), and the predecessors under the associated "discontinued" node. They include, for example:
- IPIMM_10WM.ISWE = [DISCONTINUED] Industrial Production Index: Mining and Manufacturing, (2010=100, WDA)
- IPKMMEGWM.ISWE = Mining; quarrying; manufacturing; and energy [B to D], (Ch. Vol. Index 2015=100, WDA)
- IPK18CM.ISWE = Printers; other industry for recorded media [18], (Ch. Vol. Index 2015=100, WDASA)
Because catalog locations are subject to change, the upper-right search box on DataBuffet.com provides a "find in catalog" mode that accepts a mnemonic.
Please be aware that
In these concept codes, the third letter ("K") denotes that the measurement is a chained volume index. By contrast, value indexes and constant volume indexes are denoted by "I" and "J".
Because we have standardized the mnemonics of the replacement series, you will need to reconstruct your legacy retrievals.
