On 17 July, the source wrote (citation):
The Bank of Korea and Statistics Korea have released the results of its 2015 benchmark revision of the Korean National Balance Sheets.
The revision includes an update of the reference year from 2010 to 2015 along with changes in source data, concepts and methodologies. These changes better align Korean National Balance Sheet statistics with the recommendations of the previously implemented System of National Accounts 2008 for compiling national economic accounts, in order to maintain comparability with other nations’ accounts.
In response, we have:
- Archived the predecessors (1970 to 2017) by renaming with an "_10" specifier, marking metadata as "discontinued", and segregating in the catalog.
- Created one-for-one replacements.
Dataset properties that changed:
- Start date: 2000
- Concept codes have been standardized where necessary.
Note that, in this benchmark, the currency reference year has been advanced from 2010 to 2015; but that is irrelevant to this Data Buffet extract, which contains exclusively current-priced data.
The series reside in the historical catalog:
- South Korea » National Accounts » By Income » Annual
- South Korea » National Accounts » By Income » Discontinued » 1970 to 2017
and include, for example:
- NALIYPE_10UA.IKOR = [DISCONTINUED] National accounts: Income approach - Property and entrepreneurial income; net - Total, (Bil. KRW)
- NALISVGNF_10UA.IKOR = [DISCONTINUED] Gross saving - Private - Non-financial corporations and quasi-corporations, (Bil. KRW)
- NALIYPPUA.IKOR = Property and entrepreneurial income, (Bil. KRW)
- NALISVGNFUA.IKOR = Gross savings - Private - Non-financial corporations and quasi-corporations, (Bil. KRW)
Because catalog locations are subject to change, the upper-right search box on DataBuffet.com provides a "find in catalog" mode that accepts a mnemonic.
