In response, we have archived the predecessors (2014=100, reported January 2015 to December 2017) by renaming with an "_14" specifier, by marking metadata as "discontinued", and by segregating in the catalog. The replacements (2015=100) start at January 2017. There are two presentations: calendar day adjusted and seasonally adjusted (CDASA) and not seasonally adjusted (NSA).
The active series reside in the historical catalog (Russia » Industry » Industrial production index » Monthly » 2015=100) and the predecessors under the associated "discontinued" node. They are:
- IPJTT_14CM.IRUS = [DISCONTINUED] (2014=100, CDASA)
- IPJTT_14UM.IRUS = [DISCONTINUED] (2014=100, NSA)
- IPJTTCM.IRUS = (Vol. Index 2015=100, CDASA)
- IPJTTUM.IRUS = (Vol. Index 2015=100, NSA)
Because catalog locations are subject to change, the upper-right search box on DataBuffet.com provides a "find in catalog" mode that accepts a mnemonic.
About our enhancement:
- The series are reported from January 2017, but we have extended the NSA series to January 1995 using predecessors. This is denoted by a secondary source citation.
- Prior to January 2017 we have extended and adjusted the CDASA series.
