Motivation: Our national source for this indicator, the National Bureau of Statistics of the People's Republic of China (NBS), reports fixed asset investment for urban housing, monthly from February 1994, but only in cumulative (year-to-date, YTD) and not seasonally adjusted (NSA) terms.
Response: For international consistency and to simplify analysis, Moody's Analytics has computed a single-period (non-YTD) counterpart, in NSA and seasonally adjusted (SA) variants.
Properties: Series are monthly and start at February 1994. Units are 100 million Chinese yuan (100 Mil. CNY). Expect our calculated series to be revised with each update to the fundamentals. Supplemental series of this kind are identified by a secondary source citation of "Moody's Analytics Calculated" or "Moody's Analytics Adjusted".
