In response, we have marked the series as discontinued in their metadata and catalog. Figures are indexed to December 2000 (Index Dec2000=100), not seasonally adjusted (NSA). Geo coverage is the U.S. only. The monthly series run from December 2000 to April 2017.

The series reside in the historical catalog (United States » Real estate » Non-residential » Commercial property price indexes » Moody's/RCA Commercial Property Price Index) and include, for example:

• CRNCPPITUM.IUSA    = [DISCONTINUED] Tier 1 - National all-property index, (Index Dec2000=100, NSA)
• CRNCPPICOMUM.IUSA  = [DISCONTINUED] Tier 2 - Core commercial
• CRNCPPIOFFCUM.IUSA = [DISCONTINUED] Tier 3 - Office in core business district [CBD]

The RCA CPPI dataset has more detail than the Moody's/RCA CPPI (37 vs. 10 concepts); the concepts that match have generally the same properties, aside from frequency. Geo coverage is also more granular: the U.S., five RCA regions, 34 RCA markets, and two aggregates (these areas resemble but are not the same as standard census regions or MSAs, and hence have specialized geo codes). Series include, for example:

• CRNCPPITUQ.RCA_IUSA_ATL    = National all-property index - for RCA market: Atlanta
• CRNCPPICOMUQ.RCA_IUSA_MWST = Core commercial - for RCA region: Midwest
