Twin Falls, Idaho has recently been upgraded by OMB from a micropolitan area to a metropolitan statistical area (see related article). In a direct communication with the source, we were able to expedite the area's addition to the FHFA all-transactions house price index for all U.S. MSAs.

The series is indexed to 1995Q1 (1995Q1=100) not seasonally adjusted (NSA). Moody's Analytics has computed a seasonally adjusted (SA) supplement. Both series start at 1992Q3 (as a whole, the dataset starts as early as 1975Q1).

The dataset resides in the historical catalog (United States » Real Estate » Residential » Home prices » Existing » FHFA (formerly OFHEO) Home Price Index). The new series are:

• XHOFHOPIQ.IUSA_MTWI = Real estate: FHFA House Price Index - New and existing buildings - All transactions, (Index 1995Q1=100, NSA)
• HOFHOPIQ.IUSA_MTWI  = (Index 1995Q1=100, SA)
