As part of a Europe-wide process, the source has changed its national accounts framework from ESA 95 to ESA 2010. In response, we have replaced the series. For clarity, we have deleted most of the predecessors, and the replacements contain full published history.

Consistent with changes to the Blue Book, the currency reference year and the base year for CVMs (chained volume measures) has been advanced from 2011 to 2012. The series start at 1955. Units vary, and many indicators are presented using several alternative analytic units, which include:

• Mil. GBP           = millions of British pounds
• Mil. Ch. 2012 GBP  = millions of chained year-2012 British pounds
• %                  = percent of whole
• % Q/Q              = quarter-over-quarter percent change
• % Y/Y              = year-over-year percent change
• % Ch. 2012         = percent change chained from 2012
• % Ch. 2012 Y/Y
• % Ch. 2012 Q/Q
• Index 2012=100     = value index based to 2012
• Index 2014=100
• Index Ch. 2012=100 = chained volume index based to 2012

The data reside in the historical catalog (United Kingdom » National Accounts » Additional Detail » ONS - Detailed - National Accounts » Monthly | Annual | Quarterly) and include, for example:

• ONSNAKH5CA.IGBR = Private non-financial corporations, (% Y/Y)
• ONSNAABMIQ.IGBR = Gross domestic product, (Mil. Ch. 2012 GBP, SA)
• ONSNAKGA3Q.IGBR = Food and drink, (% Ch. 2012 Q/Q, NSA)
