Data Note: Poland subnational - Population - Rescaled
Friday, 23 Jun 2017 14:42 ET
By Ian Vaughan
Summary
June 2017 -- For population in Poland, the source has changed its reporting scale from thousands to unitary count (1,520 annual series 1995-2016, revised).
Detail

In response, existing series have been revised, for the entire history, from 1995. You will need to modify any downstream processes to account for the change in magnitude.

For example, the description metadata for series VSQPOP0004UA.IPOL has changed thusly:

  • Before: Vital Statistics: Population - 4 and younger, (Ths. #)
  • After: Vital statistics: Population - Ages 4 and under, (#)

There are 20 rescaled concepts in the dataset (of the form VSQPOP?UA); geo coverage is the nation and all NUTS 2013 level 1, 2 and 3 areas (six, 16, 72).
