Motivation: The national source, Statistics Korea, reports labor force status measures (labor force, employment, unemployment, and unemployment rate), monthly, for the first-level subnational areas, but with limited history (starting June 1999).
Response: For international consistency, we have estimated the above measures, for the above geos, at a quarterly frequency, with (for employment) extended history.
