In a direct communication, the source explained:
Prior to 2019Q2, SURS published the number of transactions according to the following criteria:
(1) from all transactions of dwellings, only market transactions for which all appropriate data on dwelling characteristics are available are taken into accounts thus all transactions that are related to inheritance and other kinds of transfer of ownership between relatives are eliminated, (2) transactions or all types of dwellings worth less than EUR 20,000 are eliminated, (3) transactions of dwellings that are used as holiday homes are eliminated, (4) mixed transactions where more than five dwellings being sold within one sales contract and the individual prices cannot be determined are eliminated.
Data published from 2019Q2 onward shows all transactions performed in the observed quarter, where the purchaser is a household, only sales that are inherited or donated are excluded.
In response, we have:
- Archived the predecessors (2003Q1 to 2019Q1) by renaming with an "_19" specifier, marking metadata as "discontinued", and segregating in the catalog.
- Created one-for-one replacements, which have a later start date.
- Added one newly-reported series (existing flats, new geo).
Notable properties (for full list, see Mnemonic 411):
- Start date: Changed from 2003Q1 to 2010Q1
- Count of series: Changed from 9 to 10
The series reside in the historical catalog:
- Slovenia » Real estate » Residential » House price index » 2015=100 » Count of transactions
- Slovenia » Real estate » Residential » House price index » Discontinued » Pre-2019 method
