In response, we have archived the predecessors (2010=100, January 2006 to December 2017) by marking the metadata as "discontinued" and by segregating in the catalog. The one-for-one replacements (2015=100) have an unchanged start date and standardized mnemonics. Figures are fixed-base value indexes, not seasonally adjusted (NSA). The classification is the MIG aggregates over NACE Rev. 2.
The series reside in the historical catalog (Slovenia » Price » Import price index) and include, for example:
- TRIIMPCGUM.ISVN = [DISCONTINUED] Foreign trade: Import prices - Consumer goods, (Index 2010=100, NSA)
- TRIMPCDGUM.ISVN = Durable consumer goods, (Index 2015=100, NSA)
- TRIIMPKGUM.ISVN = [DISCONTINUED] Capital goods, (Index 2010=100, NSA)
- TRIMPENGUM.ISVN = Energy, (Index 2015=100, NSA)
Because catalog locations are subject to change, the upper-right search box on DataBuffet.com provides a "find in catalog" mode that accepts a mnemonic.
Please be aware that
Under the official EU definition of main industrial groupings (MIG), the categories of "intermediate goods" and "energy goods" are disjoint. Slovenia seems to follow that definition here. However, the industrial production index applies the term "intermediate goods" to the combination of the two categories.
The source uses the term "industry except construction" because the meaning of "industry" varies across Europe. Depending on the country, the aggregate of economic activities consists of either NACE Rev. 2 sections B to E (mining, manufacturing, utilities) or B to F (also construction).
