In direct communication, the source explained:
The Working Group "Employment Accounts of the Federation and the Länder" (AK ETR) publishes its first calculation results in the framework of the general revision in 2019 on the number of persons in employment in Germany for the years 2014 to 2018. All results are matched to the federal results with calculation status August 2019.
To avoid breaks in the time series, the results are also recalculated until 1991. The recalculation of the reporting years 1991 to 2013 [...] will take place in January 2020.
Main subject of the General Revision 2019 was the consideration of new or updated data sources.
In response, we have:
- Archived the predecessors (1991 to 2018) by renaming with an "_19" specifier, marking metadata as "discontinued", and segregating the catalog.
- Created one-to-one replacements.
- Refurbished the catalog to clarify the successive definitional vintages.
Notable properties (for full list, see background):
- Corpus of series: Unchanged
- Measurement: Unchanged
- Start date: Unchanged
The series reside in the historical catalog:
- Germany » National Accounts » Branch Accounts » Employment » Annual
- Germany » National Accounts » Branch Accounts » Employment » Discontinued » Pre-Benchmark 2019
and include, for example:
- NAQEPTUA.IDEU_10 = Employees - All industries [A to T], (Ths. #) - for Saarland
- NAQEMIDUA.IDEU_14 = Employment - Industry [B to F], (Ths.#) - for Sachsen
- NAQEUPWT_19UA.IDEU_08 = [DISCONTINUED] National accounts: Unpaid family workers - All industries [A to T], (Ths. #) - for Baden-Wurttemberg
