The source has implemented the IMF Balance of Payments and International Investment Position Manual, Sixth Edition. In response, we have archived the predecessors (BPM5, 1996Q1 to 2011Q4) by renaming with an "_B5" specifier (and otherwise standardizing the concept codes), by marking metadata as "discontinued" and by segregating in the catalog. The replacements (BPM6) start at 2003Q1. Figures are millions of U.S. dollars (Mil. USD) not seasonally adjusted (NSA).
The active series reside in the historical catalog (Chile » Trade » Balance of Payments » BPM6) and the archived BPM5 series under the adjacent "discontinued" page. They include, for example:

- BPNCABUQ.ICHL = Current account - Balance [I]

Please be aware that:
- The detailed line items are significantly different under BPM6 than BPM5.
About our extract:
- Previously, the Data Buffet extract conflated BPM5 and BPM6 reporting in the same series. We have separated and overhauled, so users of legacy mnemonics may find that series have been truncated to 2011Q4.
- Moreover, we have added BPM5 history back to 1996Q1.
- We have standardized the concept codes of the BPM5 subset, e.g., from BP$CABUQ.ICHL to BPNCAB_B5UQ.ICHL. Hence, legacy retrievals will now elicit the "series not found" error.
- Moody's Analytics calculates the overall balance and the capital and financial account balance.
