Motivation: Our national source, the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses of the Argentine Republic (INDEC), reports compensation at a quarterly frequency and annualized rate, but only in not seasonally adjusted (NSA) terms.
Response: For analytic convenience, we have created a counterpart that is seasonally adjusted at an annualized rate (SAAR).
Properties: Expect our SA series to be revised with each update to the NSA series. Supplemental series of this kind are identified by a secondary source citation of "Moody's Analytics Adjusted".
- Measurement: Millions of Argentinian pesos (Mil. ARS)
- Adjustment: Seasonally adjusted annualized rate (SAAR)
- Coverage: Country
- Native frequency: Quarterly
- Start date: 2016Q1
The series resides in the historical catalog (Argentina » National Accounts » by Income » Compensation) and is:
- NALICMPTAQ.IARG = Generation of Income Accounts: Compensation for salaried work - All sectors, (Mil. ARS, SAAR)
Method: Individually adjust the reported NSA series using the U.S. Census Bureau's X-13 ARIMA program.
