Data Change: Bosnia and Herzegovina - EER - Rebased to 2015
Wednesday, 03 Jul 2019 14:57 ET
By Phillip Thorne
Summary
June 2019 -- For the annual nominal and real effective exchange rate indexes for Bosnia and Herzegovina, concurrent with dissemination of results for 2018, the source has advanced the base year from 2010 to 2015 (two annual series 2006 to 2017, replaced from 2010).
Detail

In response, we have:

  1. Archived the predecessors (2010=100, 2006 to 2017) by renaming with an "_10" specifier, marking metadata as discontinued, and segregating in the catalog.
  2. Created the one-for-one replacements (2015=100), which start at 2010.

The series reside in the historical catalog (Bosnia and Herzegovina » Financial » Effective exchange rate index) and include, for example:

  • EXINEER_10UA.IBIH = [DISCONTINUED] Exchange rates: Nominal effective exchange rate [NEER], (Index 2010=100)
  • EXIREERUA.IBIH    = Real effective exchange rate [REER], (Index 2015=100)

Because catalog locations are subject to change, the upper-right search box on DataBuffet.com provides a "find in catalog" mode that accepts a mnemonic.

Please be aware that

There are two versions of the 2010-base index:

  • 2005 to 2016, pre-ECB methodology, with archive specifier "_16"
  • 2006 to 2017, ECB-compliant methodology, "_10"
