Mnemonic Change: France - Underemployment by sex
Monday, 25 Feb 2019 03:08 ET
By Victoria Donu
Summary
February 2019 -- For the "underemployment by sex" portion of the labor force survey for France, we have standardized mnemonics and corrected metadata (three quarterly series impacted).
Detail

1. Renamed series: If you have a legacy basket or other retrievals, existing references will now return "series not found" errors. You will need to edit the basket to use the amended mnemonics; the basket editor includes a "find and replace" tool.

Three mnemonics have changed (old » new). The series reside in the historical catalog (France » Labor and Wages » Unemployment » Quarterly) and are:

  • LW%URTMAQ.IFRA » LWQUDETAQ.IFRA = Underemployment - Both sexes
  • LW%URDMAQ.IFRA » LWQUDEMAQ.IFRA = Males
  • LW%URDFAQ.IFRA » LWQUDEFAQ.IFRA = Females

2. Standardized metadata: Our amendments to the description metadata will immediately appear in Mnemonic 411, View and Chart modes, and upon next execution of Baskets, Power Tools, the API, etc. Schedules that use these series as triggers will have executed, since a series time stamp is reset by any change to its metadata.

  • Preamble of "Labor"
  • Units are thousands of persons (Ths. #), not percent rate (%)

We strongly recommend including the "description" and "source" headers in all baskets.
