Motivation: For the components of the expenditure approach to gross domestic product for the country of Tunisia, multi-national sources report limited history at an annual frequency.
Response: For international consistency, we have estimated a full set of the components of GDP(E), at current and constant prices (a.k.a. nominal and real terms) and deflators, at a quarterly frequency. We synthesize real annual data from the World Bank World Development Indicators and quarterly data from the World Bank Global Economic Monitor, then extend using the UNSD National Accounts data.
Properties:
- Measurement: Millions of Tunisian dinar, at current (Mil. TND) or constant year-2010 prices (Mil. 2010 TND), or price deflators indexed to 2012
- Adjustment: Seasonally adjusted annual rate (SAAR)
- Frequency: Quarterly
- Start date: 1965Q1
- Additivity: Aggregates equal the sums of components
- Geo coverage: Nation
The estimates reside in the Data Buffet historical catalog (Tunisia » National Accounts » by Expenditure » Moody's Analytics Estimated) and include, for example:
- RNALEGDPAQ.ITUN = Gross domestic product, (Mil. TND, SAAR)
- RNACECGAQ.ITUN = Government consumption, (Mil. 2010 TND, SAAR)
- RPDIIMAQ.ITUN = Implicit price deflator - Imports, (Index 2010=100, SA)
Because catalog locations are subject to change, the upper-right search box on DataBuffet.com provides a "find in catalog" mode that accepts a mnemonic.
