The statistics on prices of dwellings in housing companies have been revised. The revision concerns monthly and quarterly statistics on old dwellings in housing companies. In connection with the revision, the statistical model used in the index calculations, price review procedures, weight structure and classifications have been updated. The new base year of the statistics is 2015.

Retrospective time series starting from 2015 have been produced for both the monthly and quarterly indices based on the new calculation method. These series differ to some extent from the previously published indices for the respective time periods. Differences occur particularly in areas where the number of observations is low. For the whole country, the differences are small.

In response, we have:

1. Renamed the value and volume index (2010=100) with an "_10" specifier, and segregated the concepts in the catalog. These series will remain active as the source continues to report them.
2. Archived the remaining five concepts (2010Q1 to 2017Q4) by renaming with an "_10" specifier, marking metadata as "discontinued", and segregating in the catalog.
3. Created one-for-one replacements (2015=100).
4. Standardized metadata on the active series.
5. Back-extended the reported series (value and volume indexes, areal price) prior to 2015Q1, to as early as 1988Q1.
6. Created parallel seasonally adjusted supplements.
7. Identified and deleted two redundant series.
