For Uganda, the fiscal year (FY) runs from 1 July to 30 June. The source's symbology in this data file is "2009/10", but fiscal years are conventionally named using the calendar year in which they end, and Data Buffet follows this practice.
In 1987, the second Ugandan shilling (ISO code UGX) replaced the first Ugandan shilling (UGS), which in 1966 replaced the East African shilling.
