Data Change: Russia - Income per capita - Method
Tuesday, 22 Oct 2019 04:32 ET
By Victoria Donu
Summary
October 2019 -- For income per capita for Russia, the source has implemented a new methodology (five monthly and quarterly series 2004 to 2018, replaced by three quarterly series from 2013).
Detail

In accordance with the Methodological Regulations for the calculation of indicators of money incomes and expenditures of the population, approved by the order of Rosstat of 2 July 2014 No. 465 with changes from 6 November 2014 No. 680, the source presents three new quarterly series.

In response, we have:

  1. Archived the predecessors (three monthly, two quarterly) by renaming with an "_18" specifier, marking metadata as "discontinued", and segregating in the catalog.
  2. Created three replacements (quarterly, start as early as 2013Q1) with standardized mnemonics.

The series reside in the historical catalog (Russia » Income » Personal income) and include, for example:

  • LWLY%P_18UM.IRUS = [DISCONTINUED] Income: Average income per capita, (RUB, NSA)
  • YNLY%PUQ.IRUS    = Income: Average income per capita, (RUB, NSA)
  • YNIY%PYUQ.IRUS   = Income: Average income per capita, (Index CPPY=100, NSA)

Because catalog locations are subject to change, the upper-right search box on DataBuffet.com provides a "find in catalog" mode that accepts a mnemonic

Please be aware that

The replacement series have concept codes with the YN· prefix, which is our newest standard for income measures. Prefix LW· pertains to other employment and wage data.
