Motivation: Our national source, Statistics Indonesia, reports gross value added by industry for the nation, quarterly, but only in not seasonally adjusted terms (NSA).
Response: For analytic convenience and international consistency, we have created counterparts that are seasonally adjusted at an annualized rate (SAAR).
Properties: Expect our SAAR series to be revised with each update to the NSA series. Supplemental series of this kind are identified by a secondary source citation of "Moody's Analytics Adjusted" or "Moody's Analytics Calculated".
- Measurement: Billions of Indonesian rupiah at current prices (Bil. IDR) or constant year-2010 prices (Bil. 2010 IDR)
- Adjustment: Seasonally adjusted at an annualized rate (SAAR)
- Geo coverage: Country
- Frequency: Quarterly
- Start date: 2010Q1
- Industry classification: KBLI 2009, a derivative of UN ISIC Rev. 4
- Industry coverage: Total and 17 industries
The estimates reside in the historical catalog (Indonesia » National Accounts » by Value Add » Constant prices | Current prices) and include, for example:
- NACSGVATAQ.IIDN = National accounts: Production approach - Gross value added - All industries total, (Bil. 2010 IDR, SAAR)
- NACSGVAFIAQ.IIDN = Financial services and insurance [K], (Bil. 2010 IDR, SAAR)
- NALSGVACNAQ.IIDN = Construction [F], (Bil. IDR, SAAR)
Because catalog locations are subject to change, the upper-right search box on DataBuffet.com provides a "find in catalog" mode that accepts a mnemonic.
