Motivation: Since March 2019, Moody's Analytics has produced seasonally adjusted counterparts for Taiwan's gross value added by industry. Our current-prices, all-industries total was not additive with its components, which is our preferred practice.
Response: To ensure additive integrity, we have changed our calculation for the series.
- Before: The 19 components and the total are adjusted separately.
- After: We seasonally adjust the 19 components, then calculate the all-industries total as the sum.
What you will see: Revisions to total, from 1981Q1. All other properties are unchanged.
