For July 2017, the United States Postal Service (USPS) added 1 new ZIP Code areas and retired 7. The set of ZIP code areas and their relationship to other geographies are subject to continuing revision, and we follow the lead of the USPS, but there may be months with no change.

The latest copy of the ZIP Code mapping file is located in the Reference Files section of DataBuffet.com.  Other files provide the Data Buffet geo codes for pre-2003 metros, cities, ports and custom districts.  Also, we recommend the metropolitan areas (CBSA) mapping file which, among other functions, lists the counties that comprise each area.
