We are not aware of a specific English-language announcement of the change, but footnotes changed between the March and April editions of the press release.

In response, we have:

1. Archived the predecessors (2010=100, 1988m1 to 2019m3) by renaming with an "_10" specifier, marking metadata as discontinued, and segregating in the catalog.
2. Created one-for-one replacements (2015=100), which have an unchanged start date, with standardized mnemonics and metadata.
3. Refurbished the catalog.

Dataset properties: 

• Classification: KSIC Rev. 9, an adaptation of UN ISIC Rev. 4
• Measurements: Fixed-base value index relative to 2015 (Index 2015=100) or volume index (Vol. Index 2015=100)
• Adjustment: Not seasonally adjusted (NSA)
• Native frequency: Monthly
• Start dates: As early as 1988m1

The active series reside in the historical catalog (South Korea » Trade » Foreign trade » By commodity » 2015=100) and (... » Foreign trade » Terms of trade) and the predecessors under the associated "discontinued" nodes. They include, for example:

• TRIEXMFAUM.IKOR   = Trade: Export price index - Manufacturing - Food products and beverages, (Index 2015=100, NSA)
• TRJIMMQ_10UM.IKOR = [DISCONTINUED] Trade: Import price index - Manufacturing products, (Index 2010=100, NSA)
• TRJIMMQUM.IKOR    = Trade: Import price index - Mining products, (Vol. Index 2015=100, NSA)
