Motivation: Our pertinent national source, the National Bureau of Statistics of the People's Republic of China (NBS), reports total wages for cities, but only for employees with urban hukou, and only at an annual frequency.

Response: We estimate total wages and total disposable income, for 29 select leading cities, based on the entire (both urban and rural hukou) population, at a quarterly frequency.
