In the Statistics Norway data portal, the bankruptcy table can include geographic areas that have been terminated as part of the country's ongoing geographic reorganization. Such areas are marked with the last valid year for the area. However, we have observed data in periods post-dating this nominal end-date.
For example, the municipality Harstad (1901) was dissolved in 2012, but period 2014Q2 shows two bankruptcy proceedings.
In response, we have:
- Marked these series as discontinued, to match the source.
- Synchronized our series, to match the source.
Series reside in the historical catalog (Norway » Credit Quality » Bankruptcies by Industry » Bankruptcies by SIC2007) and include, for example:
- MBQBKTTUQ.INOR_0435 = [DISCONTINUED] Bankruptcy proceedings: All industries [01-99], (#, NSA) - for Tolga-Os (0435)
