Starting with the index for January 2019, which will be published on 11 February, the producer price index (PPI) and the price index of first-hand domestic sales (PIF) will be published with reference year 2015 = 100.
In response, we have:
- Archived the predecessors (2000=100, January 2000 to December 2018) by renaming with an "_00" specifier, marking metadata as "discontinued", and segregating in the catalog.
- Created one-for-one replacements (2015=100) starting at January 2000, with standardized mnemonics.
- Expanded our extract with special aggregates and the remaining components.
- Extended the general index, over the interval January 1977 to December 1999.
- Replaced our seasonally adjusted supplements to key series.
- Refurbished the catalog.
Reported dataset properties:
- Classification:
- SIC 2007 (a.k.a. SN 2007), the local adaptation of NACE Rev. 2
- Scope: divisions 05 to 36
- MIG aggregates
- Special aggregates
- Measurement: Fixed-base value index relative to 2015 (Index 2015=100)
- Adjustment: Not seasonally adjusted (NSA)
- Native frequency: Monthly
- Start date: January 2000
The series reside in the historical catalog (Norway » Price » Producer price index) and include, for example:
- PPITT_00UM.INOR = [DISCONTINUED] Producer price index: Domestic and export - All activities, (Index 2000=100, NSA)
- PPITTUM.INOR = Domestic and export market -All activities, (Index 2015=100, NSA)
- PPIMFD_00UM.INOR = [DISCONTINUED] Domestic market - Manufacturing, (Index 2000=100, NSA)
- PPIDMMFUM.INOR = Domestic market - Manufacturing, (Index 2015=100, NSA)
Because catalog locations are subject to change, the upper-right search box on DataBuffet.com provides a "find in catalog" mode that accepts a mnemonic.
Please be aware that
We have standardized the mnemonics of the replacement series, where necessary. Legacy baskets will now show the discontinued series.
