The source explains the change in reporting (press release, June 14, 2017):
Since July 1, 2017, the state of the gold and foreign exchange reserves will be characterized by a single indicator – the value of the International Reserve Assets (IRA) calculated in accordance with the International Monetary Fund Special Data Dissemination Standard (IMF SDDS).[...] Belarus has been calculating the IRA value using both methodologies (IMF SDDS and national) since 2004.[...]
In response, we have archived series (January 2003 to July 2017) by marking them as "discontinued" in their metadata and in the catalog.
The active and discontinued series reside in the historical catalog (Belarus » Financial » International reserves) and include, for example:
- NRNCBFCRUM.IBLR = [DISCONTINUED] Foreign currency reserves, (Mil. USD, NSA)
- NRNCBGLDOUM.IBLR = [DISCONTINUED] Other gold on account in foreign banks, (Mil. USD, NSA)
Because catalog locations are subject to change, the upper right search box on DataBuffet.com provide a "find in catalog" mode that accepts a mnemonic.
