The National Regional Profile (NRP) is a consolidated report produced by the Australian Bureau of Statistics from ABS and non-ABS datasets. It covers demography, households, personal income, labor force status, and residential construction permits, with geographic granularity to the SA4 level. The time series are annual and span five years; the report is produced once a year, and its corpus is subject to change.
Regarding the change in geographic classification, the main difference between ASGS 2011 and 2016 is at the SA4 geo level, where Western Australia - Outback (508) has been split into Outback - North (510) and Outback - South (511).
In response, we have:
-
Archived our previous extract (series 2010 to 2016) by renaming with an "_16" specifier, marking metadata as "discontinued," and segregating in the catalog.
- Created replacements.
Active dataset properties:
- Measurements: Varied
- Geo coverage:
- Country

- All 8 rest-of-state areas (IAUS_GR^^)
- All 7 greater capital area (IAUS_MG^^)

- 89 select SA4 areas (IAUS_nnn)
- Native frequency: Annual

The active series reside in the historical catalog (Australia » National Regional Profile » 2011 - present) and the predecessors under the associated discontinued node. They include, for example:

Because catalog locations are subject to change, the upper-right search box on DataBuffet.com provides a "find in catalog" that accepts a mnemonic.
