There are two changes to our extract:
- France's most recent geo redefinition combined 16 of the 27 "administrative regions" into seven, resulting in 18 areas total (see related article). These changes will be reflected in the Eurostat NUTS 2016 standard, at the NUTS 2 level.
- We have added one series for the remaining reported geos, namely Île-de-France (geo code IFRA_IF).
In response, we have archived the predecessor areas (December 1990 to July 2016) by marking their metadata as "discontinued." The replacements have an unchanged start date. Figures are unchanged: unitary count, 12-month moving sum (# 12-mo MS), not seasonally adjusted (NSA).
All series reside in the historical catalog (France » Cyclical Indicators » Business Bankruptcies) and include, for example:
- CIBSBFTTUM.IFRA_RA = [DISCONTINUED] Cyclical Indicators: Business Failures - All Sizes of Businesses - All Sectors - Cumulative, (# 12-mo MS, NSA) - for NUTS (2013) 2 Rhône-Alpes
- CIBSBFTTUM.IFRA_AU = [DISCONTINUED] for NUTS (2013) 2 Auvergne
- CIBSBFTTUM.IFRA_AR = for NUTS (2016) 2 Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes
Because catalog locations are subject to change, the upper-right search box on DataBuffet.com provides a "find in catalog" mode that accepts a mnemonic.
Please be aware that:
- There are four areas in France that are coterminous at NUTS level 2 and level 3: French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, and La Réunion. The source reports the NUTS level 3 areas and for consistency, Moody's Analytics duplicates the data with the NUTS level 2 geo code.
