In response, we have archived the predecessors (2010=100, January 1994 to December 2017) by renaming with an "_10" specifier, by marking metadata as "discontinued", and by segregating in the catalog. The replacements (2015=100) have an unchanged start date. Figures are fixed-base value indexes (Index) or volume indexes (Vol. Index). There are three presentations: not seasonally adjusted (NSA), working day adjusted (WDA), and working day adjusted and seasonally adjusted (WDASA). Not all industry-price-adjustment combinations exist. The classification is NACE Rev. 2.

The series reside in the historical catalog (Germany » Consumer » Retail sales index) and include, for example:

Because catalog locations are subject to change, the upper-right search box on DataBuffet.com provides a "find in catalog" mode that accepts a mnemonic.

Please be aware that:

The branch "wholesale and retail trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles [45]" has not yet been rebased to 2015; both the value and volume indexes are still based to 2010. You will retrieve these series with the wild card WR^4?UM.IDEU, and you will not retrieve them with WR^4?_10UM.IDEU. For baskets, we strongly recommend including the description and source metadata headers fields, and monitoring their values.
