On 17 April, in the footnotes to the data table, the source wrote (citation):
The Central Statistics Office has today released the Residential Property Price Index (RPPI) with an updated base of 2015 = 100 along with the results for February 2020.
For further information see the Information Note on the Rebase of the RPPI to 2015 = 100
In response, we have:
- Archived the predecessors (Jan2005=100, 2005m1 to 2016m6 or 2020m1) by renaming with an "_05" specifier, and by segregating in the catalog. We have not marked the metadata as discontinued, because the source plans to publish both versions during a transition interval.
- Created one-for-one replacements, with standardized mnemonics.
- Re-extended key series.
- Replaced our seasonally adjusted supplements.
- Refurbished this section of the catalog.
Properties with notable changes (for full list, see background):
- Index base period: From 2005 to 2015
- Start date: Unchanged
The series reside in the historical catalog
and include, for example:
- HPITAPT_05UM.IIRL = [DISCONTINUED] Real estate: Residential property price index - New and existing - Apartments, (Index 2005=100, NSA)
- HPITRESAM.IIRL_DBL = Real estate: Residential property price index - New and existing - All residential properties, (Index 2015=100, SA) - for Dublin
Please be aware that
The predecessor "excluding Dublin" series end at 2016m6 instead of 2020m1. Their geo was represented by the concept code, but in the replacements, it is represented by the geo code, viz., IIRL_XDBL.
