Note that, as from this release, the Industrial Turnover Index is presented with 2015 as a new base year (instead of 2010). The change of base year every five years is usual practice that aims at better reflecting changes in the structure of the industrial sector that had taken place over the five-year period. This procedure involves an update of the weights used for the calculation of the index and changes in the sample of enterprises.

Data for the Industrial Turnover Index with the new base year (2015=100) have been calculated for all years as from 2015 onwards [...]

In European datasets, PPI and industrial turnover are typically reported for three markets: domestic, non-domestic, and total. The source has terminated the domestic and export components of three activities:

• Paper and paper products and printing [17; 18]
• Other non-metallic mineral products [23]
• Electronic and optical products and electrical equipment [26; 27]

In its English-language files, CYSTAT labels the domestic and non-domestic markets as "local" and "export", respectively.

The "industrial turnover index" pertains to sales in NACE Rev. 2 sections B to E. For other sections, see the "construction turnover index", "value and volume indexes of wholesale and retail trade", the "services turnover index", and "turnover value index on transport and storage", which are produced on individual schedules.

Please be aware that

Because the immediate predecessors have additional history (they start at 2010 instead of 2015), you may want to splice them to the replacements. To facilitate this, we have renamed them for consistency, apart from the archive specifier. For example:
