There were three principal changes made by the source:
- Extended geographical scope: Now includes France and the overseas departments (DOMs), excluding Mayotte.
- Tripartite estimate: Will be performed in partnership with the Agence centrale des organismes de sécurité sociale (Acoss), Direction de l’Animation de la Recherche, des Etudes et des Statistiques (Dares).
- Employer data: Gathered by declarations sociales nominative (DSN) produced by Urssaf.
In response, we have archived the predecessors (geo scope France métropolitaine, 2001Q1 to 2016Q3) by renaming with an "_16" specifier, marking their metadata as "discontinued", and by segregating in the catalog. The replacements (France incl. DOM) have an unchanged start date and we have changed the geo codes from IFRA to IFRA_XDOM where applicable. The economic activity classification is NAF Rev. 2, the localization of NACE Rev. 2. Figures are thousands of people (Ths. #), seasonally adjusted (SA).
The series reside in the historical catalog (France » Labor and Wages » Employment » by Industry » Quarterly) and include, for example:
