In a direct communication, the source explained:
The two tables were adjusted to incorporate additional sources (Fahrländer Partner, IAZI) and do not provide the split in old / new buildings anymore.
In response, we have archived the predecessors (1970=100, 1970Q1 to 2016Q4) by marking metadata as "discontinued" and by segregating in the catalog. The replacements (2000Q1=100) start at 1970Q1. Figures are not seasonally adjusted (NSA). The index is based on asking prices, not transaction prices.
The series reside in the historical catalog (Switzerland » Real Estate » Non-residential | Residential » Price index) and include, for example:
- HSICRPOFSUQ.ICHE = [DISCONTINUED] Commercial office space, (1970=100, NSA)
- CRIRPICOMLUQ.ICHE = Rented commercial space - Asking price, (2000Q1=100, NSA)
- CRIRPICOMLUA.ICHE = Rented commercial space - Asking price, (2000=100, NSA)
- HSIHPOO2T5UA.ICHE = [DISCONTINUED] Residential owner-occupied apartments 2 to 5 rooms, (1970=100)
- HPIAPTLUA.ICHE = Residential privately owned apartments - Asking price, (2000=100)
Because catalog locations are subject to change, the upper-right search box on DataBuffet.com provides a "find in catalog" mode that accepts a mnemonic.
Please be aware that:
- We have also discontinued our three SA supplements for the 1970-base residential indexes.
