Motivation: Our national source for the Philippines (Philippine Statistics Authority, or PSA) reports quarterly gross domestic product by industry (production method) at current and constant prices, but only in not seasonally adjusted (NSA) terms. Response: For analytical consistency, we have created seasonally adjusted counterparts for the individual industries and total GDP. Properties: The classification is PSNA, adapted from SNA 1993. Figures are millions of Philippine dollars (Mil. PHP), seasonally adjusted at an annualized rate (SAAR). Expect our SA series to be revised with each update. Supplemental series of this kind carry a secondary source citation of "Moody's Analytics Adjusted" or "Moody's Analytics Calculated". The series reside in the historical catalog (Philippines » National Accounts » By value add » Quarterly) and include, for example, the following. The components of the four aggregates are listed in the attachment and depicted in the catalog. - NALSGDPSVAQ.IPHL = National accounts: Production approach - GDP - Services, (Mil. PHP, SAAR)
- NALSGDPMFAQ.IPHL = Manufacturing
- NACSGDPMQAQ.IPHL = Construction
- NACSGDPTSCAQ.IPHL = Transport, Storage, and Communication
Method - Adjust 13 individual industries using the U.S. Census Bureau's X-13 ARIMA program.
