Starting from February 2019, RPPI has been calculated by using hedonic regression method and base year has been changed to 2017. In this context, series based on the stratified median price method have been ceased to be issued.
In response, we have:
- Archived the predecessors (2010=100, 2010m1 to 2019m1) by renaming with an "_10" specifier, marking metadata as "discontinued", and segregating in the catalog.
- Created one-for-one replacements (2017=100) with an unchanged start date.
- Added the "existing dwellings" concept for all reported areas (eight new series from 2010m1).
- Created matching seasonally adjusted (SA) supplements (eight new series).
- Synchronized our remaining SA supplements (39 series).
Reported dataset properties:
- Concepts:
- Residential Property Price Index (RPPI)
- For existing dwellings (ERPPI)
- For new dwellings (NRPPI)
- Measurement: Fixed-base value index relative to 2017 (Index 2017=100)
- Adjustment: Not seasonally adjusted (NSA)
- Geo coverage: Country, all 26 NUTS 2 areas
- Do all concept-geo pairs exist: No
- Native frequency: Monthly
- Start date: 2010m1
The series reside in the historical catalog (Turkey » Real Estate » Residential » House price index) and include, for example:
- HPIT_10UM.ITUR = [DISCONTINUED] House price index [THPI], (Index 2010=100, NSA) - for Turkey
- HPITUM.ITUR = House price index - Residential [RPPI], (Index 2017=100, NSA) - for Turkey
- HPINUM.ITUR_ISTA = House price index - Residential - New dwellings [NRPPI], (Index 2017=100, NSA) - for NUTS 1 Istanbul
- HPINUM.ITUR_IS = Ibid - for NUTS 2 Istanbul
- HPINUM.ITUR_IST = Ibid - for NUTS 3 Istanbul
Because catalog locations are subject to change, the upper-right search box on DataBuffet.com provides a "find in catalog" mode that accepts a mnemonic.
Please be aware that
The "existing" and "new" indexes are reported for the country and three areas (Ankara, Istanbul, Izmir) at two or three NUTS levels each.
