So as to meet the highest security standards, and for the safety of our clients and systems, effective July 31 we will reject the TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 web security protocol. Instead, we will require TLS 1.2, which is used by Power Tools v. 8.2.7. For uninterrupted access to your subscriptions and services via Power Tools, please upgrade before July 31. If necessary, consult your local IT help desk before the deadline (e.g., if you lack the administrator permissions to install Office add-ins).
What version of Power Tools do I have? Go to Excel » ribbon:Power Tools » About Power Tools.
How do I get the latest version? Go to DataBuffet.com » menu:Tools » Power Tools, follow the instructions, and use the large blue button to download.
Are there any software dependencies? Because Power Tools relies on Internet Explorer for connectivity, your copy of MSIE will need to be current even if you use another browser.
The same security requirement applies to web browsers; only those using TLS 1.2 will be admitted to Moody's Analytics web resources. Older browsers (and newer browsers using older settings) will be blocked. To check if your browser supports TLS 1.2, please visit this third-party SSL/TLS Capabilities testing page which will interrogate your browser and display results.
